Other Community Activities
Besides our projects, our club is active in other activities and sponsorship opportunities in the community.
Glendora Movies in the Park – (July–August & Halloween) – These annual events are sponsored by Glendora Rotary in cooperation with the Glendora Parks & Recreation Department. Our club pays the expense of the films for each night at Finkbiner Park. We also have a concession table worked by Rotary volunteers selling refreshments.
Battle of the Books -Sponsored by our club in partnership with the GPL Friend Foundation, The Battle of the Books offers students the chance to compete by testing their knowledge of three assigned books. It’s a fantastic event for our youth to engage in and enjoy!

Vocational Service - The second Avenue of Service, has the purpose of promoting high ethical standards in businesses and professions, recognizing the worthiness of all dignified occupations, and fostering the ideal of service in the pursuit of all vocations. The role of members includes conducting themselves and their businesses in accordance with Rotary’s principles and lending their vocational skills to club developed projects in order to address the issues and needs of society.
International Service - The Rotary Club of Glendora works to leverage Rotarian expertise, establishing connections between clubs in the district and a host or international partner, and creating a network of local experts to help with project planning and the grant process. International Service fulfills Rotary’s mission of “advancing international understanding, goodwill and peace” throughout the world through the delivery of projects and programs in one of six focus areas:
